DESIGNR App Prototype
DESIGNR app
A way for college-aged graphic designers to get connected with people and companies in the community who want to support young professionals and give them professional experience.
Our final group project for my Web and Mobile Publishing class was to come up with an idea for a new app and design/create a prototype of it being used. The idea in mind when creating DESIGNR was to create an app that helped to connect young graphic designers to real clients looking to support their professional development. We thought that making it reminiscent of a dating app like Tinder or Grindr would make it easy to use, as well as accessible to multiple different age ranges. We created profile pages for the student designer where they can input their strengths and upload work samples so that clients can see what kind of work they might want, and then in turn create sample client pages that dealt with creating descriptions of the project and what kind of skills they were looking for. My roles in this project were to help come up with the preliminary concept and name, then pick the color scheme and design a few of the icons. Finally, I was also tasked with using Adobe Xd to create an mp4 video file of how DESIGNR would be used by consumers.
